Wedding Makeup for Mothers of the Bride and Groom

Mothers often feel hesitant about having their makeup done for their child's wedding. I frequently hear concerns that it might look too heavy or unnatural, making them feel self-conscious. I completely understand—feeling uncomfortable on such a special day is the last thing anyone wants.
I absolutely love doing makeup for mums on wedding days because they rarely take time to pamper themselves. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to feel confident, radiant, and truly their best while standing beside their son or daughter on such a memorable occasion.
Many mums don’t realize just how many photos they’ll be in—standing next to the bride, capturing precious moments, and creating memories that will be cherished for years. These photos will likely be framed, shared, and looked back on, so it’s important they feel beautiful and confident in them.
Here are some of the mother-of-the-bride and groom makeup looks I’ve created over the years—ranging from soft and natural to more glamorous styles! Feel free to share this page with your mum or future mother-in-law to show them just how stunning they can look!

Poor mum had a fall the day before the wedding and ended up in hospital having scans. Needless to say makeup saved the day here - she felt so much better and although the swelling is still there she looks amazing!
